Limestone slides past Coker, 3-2

HARTSVILLE- Limestone won on a walk-off single by catcher Alex Brown in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Coker, 3-2 in an elimination game at the Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament on Saturday. 

Six different Coker hitters picked up hits for the Cobras, while Sarah Rountree and Jennifer Sanborn each had an RBI.  Katie Lee pitched the entire game for the Cobras, going 6.1 innings.  Lee allowed three runs (two earned) on nine hits.  She also struck out four.

Jenna Guse went 3-for-4, with two runs scored.  Alex Aburto and Kirstyn Burelson also picked up two hits a piece.  Burelson also had two RBI.  Leah Quant pitched a complete seven innings, while allowing two runs on six hits.  She fanned ten hitters.

Coker is eliminated from play.  Limestone will play Queens in an elimination game. 

The Cobras end their season with a record of 19-24 overall and 10-11 in conference play.
