Florence, S.C. – Coker completed the Patriot Invitational Softball Tournament with a 3-1 win over the Braves of UNC-Pembroke. Pembroke was the first to strike with a run in the first inning, but Coker hurler, Sydney Greenwalt (Edwaredsville, IL) was able to keep the Braves hitters off balance for the remainder of the game, allowing the Lady Cobra hitters a chance to score some runs and win the game. Greenwalt went 6.2 innings, allowing just one run on four hits, with a strikeout and 10 ground outs back to the pitcher picking up the win, while Pembroke Brittany Marsh took the loss, allowing three runs on five hits with four Ks in six innings of work.

Haleigh Rogers (Ward, SC) was 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Lady Cobras at the plate, while Allie Bragg (Cassett, SC) was 2-for-4, with Anna Oswald (Lexington, SC) was 1-for-4 with an RBI and Julia Nelson-Abbott (Evans, GA) was 1-for-3 with a run scored.
