Hartsville, SC- On Wednesday, May 9, the 2007 Daktronics Softball All-South Atlantic Region Team and the 2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Region Team was announced with a pair of Cobras was among the selections. Shelly Catlett was named to the Daktronics Second Team, while Katie McCauley was named to the NFCA Second Team. Catlett was one of four pitchers, while McCauley was one of just two catchers selected. The only other CVAC selection on either team was Mount Olives Jenny Jackson, the 2007 CVAC Player of the Year.

Catlett adds the All-Region selection to her growing list of awards this season that includes CVAC Tournament MVP and Second Team All-CVAC, while McCauley’s list is also growing as she adds the All-Region selection to her Second Team All-CVAC selection.

The Cobras will begin their quest for the NCAA Division II National Championship today as they take on the #1 ranked Columbus State Cougars in their first game of the South Atlantic Regional in Columbus, GA, at 7:00 p.m.
