Hartsville, SC- The Coker Softball Team took a pair of CVAC games from Queens University on Saturday afternoon, winning 7-4 and 9-3. With the wins Coker improves to 29-9 overall, and 12-4 in the CVAC, while Queens falls to 13-27 overall, and 9-7 in the CVAC.

 

In game one Somer Bigham (19-7) earned the win going the complete game, allowing four runs on 10 hits with three strike outs.

 

Noel Belk took the loss, going three innings, allowing four runs on seven hits.

 

Jessica Blackwell led the Cobras going 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, while Allie Bragg was 2-for-4 and Eunice Nettles was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

 

Ricci Coultas was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Rachel Wessman was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

 

In game two, Coker starter Shelly Catlett (10-2) earned the win going a complete game, allowing three runs on six hits with four strike outs.

 

Megan Campbell took the loss, allowing nine runs on 11 hits with five strike outs.

 

Kimberly Atkinson and Allie Bragg each hit home runs for the Cobras, with Atkinson collecting three RBIs and Bragg collecting two RBIs.

 

Audra Littlejohn led the Royals going 2-for-3 and an RBI.

 

Coker will take on Lees-McRae on Sunday, in another CVAC double-header starting at 1:00 p.m.
