Hartsville, SC- Shelly Catlett and Somer Bigham held the Glenville State Pioneers to just four hits in two games, leading the Cobras to a pair of victories, 8-0 in game one and 6-4 in game two. Coker improves to 21-7 on the season with the wins.

 

Catlett (6-1) earned the win in game one, throwing a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits, with nine strikeouts.

 

Mandy Parkulo took the loss, allowing eight runs on 17 hits.

 

Leading the Cobras at the plate in game one were, Ashton Williamson and Allie Bragg, who were each 3-for-4, while Kimberly Atkinson was 2-for-4 with a double.

 

For the Pioneers, Leanne Harris and Lorrie Chaperon were each 1-for-3 on the day.

 

In game two, Bigham (15-6) earned the win allowing four runs on two hits, with 13 strike outs.

 

Tiffany Bush took the loss for Glenville, allowing six runs on 13 hits.

 

Coker’s offense was led by Williamson, who was 3-for-4 with a double, while Anna Lucas was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs.

 

Harris was again 1-for-3, while Lacey Powell was 1-for-2. Kayla Shobe was 0-1 with a pair sacrifice fly outs and two RBIs.

 

Coker will now take much need break before they field on Saturday, when they host West Virginia State at 2:00 p.m.
