Coker Men's Cross Country Finishes 14th at VertCross Invitational

KERNERSVILLE, N.C.- The Coker College men's cross country team traveled to Kernersville, N.C. to compete in the VertCross Invitational at the Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex on Friday (Oct. 13) afternoon. Jacob Chebii crossed the finish line first for the Cobras as they placed 14th overall. 

Jacob Chebii ran the men's VertCross Invitational 8k in the time of 27:02.31, leading the Cobras at the finish. Brandon Mullins was just behind Chebii at the 27:47.01 mark.

Razzel Kiplaget ran hard pacing a 28:28.24 on the day, while teammate Luke Elliot ran a 29:42.08.

The trio of Jacob Maldonado, Murishi Irankunda, and Eion Riley rounded out the race for the Navy and Gold with times of 32:25.01, 33.21.77, and 33.28.82 respectively.

The Coker College men's cross country team will next compete at the South Atlantic Conference Championships at Southside Park in Newton, N.C. on Saturday (Oct. 21) beginning at 9:00 a.m.
