Cobras Downed by Railsplitters

HARROGATE, Tenn.- The Coker men's volleyball team trekked up to Lincoln Memorial to compete with the Railsplitters Friday (Feb. 9) night. The Cobras kept it close, but were edged out 3-1 (17-25, 20-25, 25-22, 15-25).

Joao Victor Santos led the team with an incredible season-high 22 kills. He added five aces, seven digs, and four blocks to his night. Stephen Porras also reached double-digit kills with 10, also adding an ace, seven digs, and two blocks. Gabriel Castro had a solid performance with eight kills, three assists, six digs, and a block. Aleksa Bijelic finished with 38 assists, while contributing three kills, two digs, and a block. Gary Baker supplied two kills, two assists, one service ace, six digs, and a block. Parker Oldham ended the night with six digs and three blocks

The Navy and Gold tallied 45 kills, 45 assists, seven aces, 34 digs, and seven total blocks.

Next, the Cobras will travel to Mount Olive on Tuesday (Feb. 13). First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
