Coker Adds Fournell as Assistant Men's and Women's Volleyball Coach

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College has named Spencer Fournell as its assistant men's and women's volleyball coach, Dr. Lynn Griffin, vice president of athletics and athletic facilities, announced today.

Fournell comes to Coker after spending the last year as the head coach for the 13-1 and 16-1 Southside Volleyball Club travel teams. In addition, Fournell has taken on other roles in the last two years as a volleyball trainer at Prime Athletes and an assistant coach for the girl's varsity volleyball team at South Torrance High School.

"I'm very excited that Spencer has decided to join our coaching staff," said head men's and women's volleyball coach, Julia Rafalowski.  "His West Coast connections are going to be invaluable to both the men's and women's programs.  Additionally, he brings with him a strong Division II background and a love for the game."

Fournell, a native of Redondo Beach, California played collegiately at Belmont Abbey College, where he was a captain of the men's volleyball team in 2014. He graduated from Belmont Abbey with a bachelor's degree in sports management in May of 2015.
