Cobras Hit The Road To Take On Four Division I Opponents

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's volleyball team will hit the road to take on four Division I opponents in an eight day stretch. The challenging road trip will have the Cobras play at George Mason (Mar. 4), at Harvard (Mar. 7), at NJIT (Mar. 9), and at Princeton (Mar. 11) before returning home on Mar. 14 when Coker hosts NJIT.

The Cobras currently hold a 9-3 overall record and have won six of their last seven games. The Navy and Gold are led offensively by Joao Victor Santos who has laid down 131 kills and 3.85 kills per set. On the defensive side of the ball, Devion Whetstone (27 total blocks) and Luca Berger (26 total blocks) have been a force in the middle of the defense, while Gary Baker has collected a team-best 85 digs.

George Mason comes into tomorrow's matchup with a 5-9 overall record. Offensively, the Patriots are led by Jack Wilson who has notched 141 kills. Harvard currently holds a 5-6 overall record. Casey White leads the Crimson attack with 115 kills and 2.56 kills per set.

Next, NJIT will host Coker holding a 7-7 overall record. The offensive threat for the Highlanders is Jabarry Goodridge who has totaled an impressive 232 kills. Finally, the Navy and Gold will round out their road trip at Princeton. The Tigers have built a 6-7 overall and are led by Kendall Ratter (155 kills).
