Coker Falls to Emmanuel in Five

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Coker Cobras dropped their NCAA Division II men's volleyball match at Emmanuel College, 3-2, on Wednesday (Apr. 6).

With four of the five sets decided by three or less points, the Cobras won the first set 25-23. Emmanuel took the second set 31-29 and won the third set 25-22. Coker bounced back with a 25-16 win in the fourth set, but Emmanuel would take home the match with a 15-13 win in the fifth and final set. 

Joao Victor Santos led the way for the Cobras with 27 kills and nine digs, while Artur Cabral had 10 kills seven digs and three aces. Luke Hansen and Leshon Alexander chipped in nine and seven kills respectively, and Aleksa Bijelic handed out 50 assists. Hansen, Bijelic and Liam Flaherty each had 10 digs as well for the Cobras.

The Cobras will return to action on Saturday (Apr. 9) for their final home match of the season. First serve is set for 4 p.m. at Coker's DeLoach Center.
