Coker Men's Volleyball Ranked No. 26 in NCAA DI/DII RPI Poll

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's volleyball team is ranked No. 26 in the nation according to the latest NCAA DI/DII RPI poll released today.

The Cobras (12-6) are the highest ranked independent school and are the seventh highest NCAA Division II school.

Leading the way for the Coker men is junior right side hitter Artur Cabral and his nation leading 0.67 aces per set.  Cabral also ranks 49th in the country in kills per set with 3.05 and 29th in the country in points per set, averaging 4.04 points per set.

Freshman Joao Victor Santos is also having a spectacular season. The right side hitter is ranked 11th in the nation in aces per set with 0.42 aces per set, and is 19th in the nation in kills with 3.67 kills per set. He is also 13th in the nation in points with 4.42 points per set.

As a team the Cobras rank No. 1 in aces per set, averaging 2.27 aces per set.

Coker returns to action on Wednesday (March 23) when they travel to Barton College. The Bulldogs are currently ranked 14th in the RPI poll. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Barton's Wilson Gymnasium.
