Cobra Men's Volleyball Conquers Crusaders 3-2

BELMONT, N.C. – A trio of Cobras notched double digit kills to lead the Coker men's volleyball team to a 3-2 win over the Belmont Abbey Crusaders on Friday (Feb. 26) evening in collegiate men's volleyball action.

Joao Victor Santos, Artur Cabral and Luke Hansen propelled the Cobras to victory with 24, 16 and 11 kills, respectively.  Cabral added five digs, while Santos and Hansen had four digs each.  Aleksa Bijelic paced the offense with 44 assists and seven digs, and Liam Flaherty had a match-high 15 digs.

After falling behind 1-0, Coker evened the match at one with a 25-20 second set victory. A 28-26 win in the third set put the Cobras on top 2-1. Belmont Abbey picked up a 25-14 win in the fourth set to tie the match at two. Coker then took home the 3-2 victory with a hard fought 17-15 win in the fifth and final set.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 27) at North Greenville. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
