Cobras' Season Comes to an End with 3-0 Loss to Royals

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Coker men's volleyball team suffered a straight-set 3-0 loss to the Warner University Royals on Saturday (Apr. 5) in men's collegiate volleyball action.

The first set would be tightly contested as the Royals sneaked out a 25-23 set victory over the Cobras. Attack errors would be the deciding factor in the second set as the Navy and Yellow committed seven of its game-high 22 attack errors in the set. Coker would hang tough in the third set as a Luke Hansen kill would knot the match up at 23-all. Solid hitting by the Royals would allow them to steal a 25-23 set victory to win the match 3-0.

The Cobras were led offensively by Hansen and his nine kills, while Leshon Alexander and Jared Geizer each tallied eight kills. Defensively, Cooper Lyon dug a match-high eight balls and Ricardo Ferrer dished out 29 assists in his final game as a Cobra.

Coker closes out the 2014 season with an overall record of 8-21.
