Stiles Breaks 200m Record As Cobras Compete in JCSU Golden Bulls Collegiate Invitational

The Coker University Men's Track & Field team competed in the JCSU Golden Bulls Collegiate Invitational.

100m

In the 100m, Coker would take first and second overall, Jeffrey Stiles would earn gold for the Cobras finishing with a time of 10.61. Yazeare Pearsall-Garcia would take the silver medal for the Cobras, finishing with a time of 10.63.

200m

In the 200m, Coker would take the top three spots in the meet, Jeffrey Stiles would earn gold for the second time breaking the school outdoor 200m record time with a time of 21.10, Stiles also now has the #10 time in DII for the 200m. Yazeare Pearsall-Garcia would earn his second silver medal of the day, running a time of 21.16, this puts Pearsall-Garcia at #14 in DII for the 200m. Donovan Jones would earn bronze for the Cobras as he would finish with a time of 21.50. Rounding out the 200m for the Cobras would be Braeden Rasco who would finish with a time of 25.70.

400m

In the 400m, Donovan Jones would earn his second bronze of the day, finishing with a time of 50.08. Yahir Perez-Lora, would round out the field for the Cobras, crossing the line with a time of 59.46.

800m

In the 800m, Philip Davis would lead the way for the Cobras placing ninth overall with a time of 2:05.17. Nicholas Hallis would round out the field for the Cobras, finishing with a time of 2:20.14.

1500m

In the 1500m, Josh Zeigler would earn another top five finish for the Cobras, placing fourth overall finishing with a time of 4:33.15.

3000m Steeplechase

In the 3000m Steeplechase, Austin Bates would earn another silver for the Coker, finishing with a time of 11:28.97.

In The Field

Discus

In Discus, Jaden Wright would lead the way for the Cobras with a best throw of 25.00m (82-00). Chayse Davis would round out the field with a throw of 21.37m (70-01).

High Jump

In High Jump, Braeden Rasco would take the runway for the Cobras, finishing ninth overall with a best jump of 1.73m (5-08.00).

Javelin

In Javelin, Will Frazier would earn another bronze for the Cobras throwing a best distance of 42.88m (140-08). Luke Baker would finish fourth overall on the day to round out Javelin for the Cobras, throwing a best distance of 40.31m (132-03).

Shot Put

In Shot Put, Luke Baker would lead the charge for the Cobras in the circle with a best throw of 9.82m (32-02.75). Jaden Wright would round out the field for the Cobras landing a best mark of 8.59m (28-02.25).

The Cobras will return to action on Saturday, April 13th, as they will compete in the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational.
