Men's Tennis Gets Exhibition Victory Against USC Sumter

Sumter, SC - Coker Men's Tennis secured the 8-1 exhibition victory against USC Sumter on the road this afternoon.

Starting off with doubles, Tom Lamers and Thibaut Decaluwe partnered up at first doubles to squeeze out a 9-8 (8-6) win. On courts two and three, Coker dominated the match, with Samuel Winter and Bernardo Peralta winning 8-0 on court two and Joao Casas Moreira and Andy Huyhn getting the 8-1 decision on court three.

On to singles, courts two through six took the victory with Decaluwe winning 6-0, 7-5 on two, Winter winning 6-0, 7-6 on three, Huyhn winning 6-2, 6-3 on four, Moreira getting the double bagel (6-0, 6-0) on five, and Peralta getting the 7-5, 6-0 win on six.

The Cobras are back in action on Sunday, traveling up to Charlotte to play Johnson C. Smith with a first serve scheduled for 1 PM.
