Men's Tennis Narrowly Downed By FMU in 4-3 Decision

Hartsville, SC - Your Cobras Men's Tennis team was just one match away from downing FMU, but ultimately swung in favor of the Patriots with a 4-3 decision

The day started off with doubles, where Tom Lamers and Thibaut Decaluwe won 6-2 at first doubles. Unfortunately, the doubles point ultimately went to FMU as the Cobras second and third doubles pairs dropped 7-5 and 6-3 decisions, respectively.

We then moved on to singles, where the Cobras took three of the six courts from the Patriots. Decaluwe won his match 6-2, 6-2 at second singles, Joao Casas Moreira won 6-2, 6-3 at fifth singles, and Bernardo Peralta got an exhilarating 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) win at sixth singles. Ultimately, the strong effort was not enough to notch one in the win column for the Cobras.

Men's Tennis is back in action on Friday at the USC Sumter Invitational, with a first serve of 2 PM ET.
