Men's Tennis Wins Third Straight

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker men's tennis team picked up its third consecutive South Atlantic Conference victory on Tuesday (Apr 12) as they defeated Catawba College 7-0.

The Cobras took the clean sweep in doubles behind No. 1 doubles Samuel Winter/Thibaut Decaluwe (6-2), No. 2 doubles Sean Keane/Isaac MacMillan (7-6(7-4)) and No. 3 doubles Jannis Jung/Bradley Bomar (6-3).

Jung took the win at No. 1 singles 6-1,3-6,6-4 and Decaluwe won at No. 2 singles 7-6,6-3. MacMillan topped his opponent at No. 3 singles 6-3,6-2 and Sean Keane won at No. 4 singles 6-4,2-0(ret.). Winter took the decision at No. 5 singles 6-1,4-6,6-3 and Nolan Smith wrapped up the afternoon with a win at No. 6 singles by a 6-2,6-2 scoreline. 

The Cobras return to the courts tomorrow (Apr 13) afternoon when they travel to Gaffney, S.C. to take on the Saints of Limestone University. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
