Cobras Defeat Valkyries at USC Sumter Invitational

SUMTER, S.C. - The Coker University men's tennis team picked up their second victory in as many days as they defeated Converse on Saturday (Feb. 12) at the USC Sumter Invitational by a 4-3 score.

Coker picked up the point in doubles as Samuel Winter/Thibaut Decaluwe won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles and Jannis Jung/Isaac MacMillan were victorious 6-2 at No. 2 doubles. 

Decaluwe won his match at No. 2 singles 6-7(0-6),6-4,6-4 and Isaac MacMillan picked up the victory at No. 3 singles 7-5,6-2. Samuel Winter clinched the win for the Cobras with his 6-3,3-6,6-4 triumph at No. 4 singles.

Coker will be back in action Tuesday (Feb. 15) when they head to Augusta, Ga. to take on the Jaguars of Augusta University. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
