Men's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Contest at Francis Marion on Saturday

FLORENCE, S.C. - The Coker University men's tennis team dropped its non-conference contest at Francis Marion on Saturday (Feb. 20) by a score of 4-3.

Francis Marion was able to capture the doubles point winning two of three doubles matches, while Luis de Vuyst and Thibaut Decaluwe teamed up to defeat Joshua Schaefer and David Bodson 6-2 at No. 3.

Francis Marion would go on to win three singles matches to clinch the win. Isaac MacMillan picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Adam Ernberg at No. 3 singles, before Sean Keane gutted out a 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-1) win over Schaefer at No. 4 singles. Decaluwe captured the final victory of the day for Coker at No. 6 singles, defeating Bodson 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.

Coker is back in action on Friday (Feb. 26) to host No. 13 Queens (N.C.) in South Atlantic Conference action. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. from the Coker Tennis Courts.
