Men’s Tennis Welcomes Tusculum to Begin SAC Play

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College men's tennis team (7-3) will welcome the Tusculum College Pioneers to the Coker Tennis Courts on Saturday (Mar. 10) to begin South Atlantic Conference play. Opening serve is set for 1 p.m.

The Cobras return to Hartsville after taking a Spring Break trip to Hilton Head Island. The Cobras finished 2-0 during their trip, defeating Missouri Valley College 7-2 on Sunday (Mar. 4) and Tiffin University 6-3 on Wednesday (Mar. 7).

Heading into tomorrow's match, Mark Watt and Justus Lehman lead the Navy and Gold in singles play. Watt currently holds an impressive 9-1 record at the No. 1 position and Lehman boasts a 7-2 record, collecting five wins at the No. 5 spot and two wins at No. 6 singles. In addition, Hunter Horton has earned a 7-3 record at No. 2 singles and Dominic Allan has posted a 4-3 record competing in the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 slots.

In doubles play, Horton and Lehman have recorded a team-best 8-2 record at No. 2 doubles. Felix Schweyer and Allan is the other Coker duo with a winning record in doubles play, posting a 6-2 record at No. 3 doubles.

Tusculum heads into tomorrow's match with a 4-1 record.
