SUMTER, S.C. – The Coker College men's tennis team swept the competition on day two of the USC Sumter Invitational to improve to 3-1 on the season. The Cobras defeated Benedict 9-0 in their first match of the day and went on to defeat Erskine 8-1 in their final match of the afternoon.
Mark Watt (No. 1), Hunter Horton (No. 2), Felix Schweyer (No. 3), Dominic Allan (No. 4), and Justus Lehman (No. 5) all finished undefeated in singles play. In addition, Walker Long (No. 6) picked up one victory in singles action over Benedict.
Coker continued to impress in doubles play as the tandem of Watt/Henrik Hellbe (No. 1), Horton/Lehman (No. 2), and Schweyer/Allan (No. 3) all finished 2-0 on the day.
The Cobras will be back in action on Friday (Feb. 9) when the host USC Aiken at 3 p.m.
