HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker men's tennis team shut out Johnson C. Smith 9-0 on Saturday (Feb. 18).

The Cobras swept doubles play and also took singles play in straight sets. Henrik Hellbe and Hunter Horton picked up an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles, while Simon Bergbom and Felix Schweyer won at No. 2 doubles by an identical 8-1 score. Mark Watt and Dominic Allen earned the 8-0 shutout at No. 3 doubles.

Watt (6-2, 6-0) earned the sweep at No. 1 singles, while Hellbe won No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-0. Horton picked up the 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 while Schweyer shut out his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Allen won No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-1 and Walker Long earned the 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 6 singles.

The Cobras will hit the courts again on Saturday (Feb. 25) when they host Newberry in South Atlantic Conference action. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Coker tennis courts.
