Coker Takes Down SAC Foe Brevard

BREVARD, N.C.- Coker men's tennis picked up another South Atlantic Conference win on Sunday (April 10) when they defeated Brevard 8-1.

Coker swept every match but one wining from No. 2 doubles all the way through No. 6 singles. In doubles play, Tom Sizeland and Mark Watt picked up an 8-0 decision at No. 2, while Simon Bergbom and Felix Schweyer won by default at No. 3.

Coker swept singles play winning five of six in straight sets. William Marrafao won at No. 1 6-4, 6-2, followed up by Sizeland's 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 2. Watt continued the run at No.3 winning 6-2, 6-3 and Henrik Hellbe swept No. 4 6-2, 6-4. Bergbom was one of four Coker players to win both their doubles and singles matches, as he swept No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-0. Schweyer wrapped it up at No. 6 singles, winning by default.

Coker will hit the courts again on Saturday (April 16) when they host Mars Hill. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Coker Tennis Courts.
