No. 36 Coker Rolls Over Lincoln Memorial 7-2

HARROGATE, TENN. – The No. 36 nationally ranked Coker men's tennis team improved to 4-1 in South Atlantic Conference action with a 7-2 win over Lincoln Memorial University on Saturday (Mar. 15).

Coker jumped out to an early 2-1 lead after taking No. 1 and No. 2 doubles 8-1 and 8-5, respectively. The winning ways would continue in singles play as Andre Staab and Martin Moncayo both improved to 5-0 in conference play with straight-set victories at No. 1 and No. 5 singles, respectively. Tom Sizeland extended his singles winning streak to eight matches, while also improving to 5-0 in SAC competition with his straight-set win at No. 2 singles. Picking up the last two wins for the Navy and Yellow were William Marrafao at No. 3 singles and James Corfield at No. 4 singles.

The Cobras will return to the courts on Friday (Mar. 21) for a SAC showdown with Queens University of Charlotte. The match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
