2013-14: Staab finished his sophomore season 13-4 at No. 1 singles en route to his second consectutive all-conference first team singles selection. He was also named an All-SAC first-team doubles selection after going 13-5 at No. 1 doubles. He ranked as high as No. 22 in the nation and No. 4 in the southeast region in singles and No. 8 regionally in doubles.

2012-13: Staab was the conference freshman of the year, named to the All-Conference first team, and named the Southeast Region Rookie of the Year.  At one point he was ranked No. 12 in the region.  Staab finished with an overall record of 15-5 as the No. 1 singles player. 

High School: Staab played tennis for TV Aschaffenburg and Weiss Blau Aschaffenburg in high school.
