Coker Men Stay Perfect in Conference Play with 6-3 Win Over Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Coker men's tennis team stretched its winning streak to six matches with a 6-3 victory over Pfeiffer on Sunday (Mar. 10). The Cobras improve to 8-2 overall and they remain undefeated in Conference Carolinas, 4-0, with the win.

The New Zealand duo of Tom Sizeland and James Corfield led the way for the Cobras with a pair of straight set victories (6-0, 6-0) at No. 2 and No. 5 singles respectively. William Marrafao and Martin Moncayo added wins at No. 3 and No. 6 singles. Marrafao won with a pair of 6-1 victories at No. 3 and Moncayo picked up two 6-2 wins at No. 6. 

In doubles play, Sizeland and Marrafao got the job done at No. 2, winning 8-3, and Corfield and Moncayo earned an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

The Cobras will return to the court on Tuesday (Mar. 12) with a road match against Newberry at 1 p.m.
