Cobra Men Pick Up 7-2 Win Over Pfeiffer

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men's tennis team earned a 7-2 victory over the Pfeiffer Falcons on Thursday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match. Four of the players went undefeated during the match leading the Cobras to the win, improving their record to 3-2 in league play.

Leonardo Lima (Brazil), Guillermo Aylon (Spain), Manel Estruga (Spain) and James Corfield (New Zealand) each won both their doubles and singles matches. Lima and Estruga picked up an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, with Aylon and Corfield winning 8-5 at No. 2 doubles.  All four also had straight set victories at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles.

Ricardo Perez (Corpus Christi, Texas) earned the Cobras seventh win of the match with a come from behind 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 victory at No. 6 singles.

The Cobras will return to the courts on Saturday for a 2 p.m. match against Erskine College.
