HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Cobra men’s tennis team lost a tough match to a Top 50 team in the nation on Friday, West Alabama (No. 45) in men’s collegiate tennis action. Coker dropped the match 5-4.

The Cobras had three solid victories from the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots in singles play. James Corfield (New Zealand) picked up a hard fought three set match at No. 2 singles with scores of 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, while Manel Estruga (Spain) and Guillermo Aylon (Spain) picked up straight set wins at No. 3 and No. 4 with scores of 6-3, 6-2 and 7-6, 6-4 respectively.

The Cobras other victory of the match came at No. 1 doubles where Corfield and Aylon won 8-5.

Coker is back on the courts on Saturday when they travel to Misenheimer, N.C. to take on Conference Carolinas foe Pfeiffer University starting at 1:00 p.m.
