GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Cobra men’s tennis team picked up a pair of wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, as well as a win at No. 2 doubles, but they were unable to capture the win; falling to the nationally ranked No. 39 Limestone College Saints 6-3 on Saturday in men’s collegiate tennis.

Leonardo Lima (Brazil) and Manel Estruga (Spain) got wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles respectively. Lima’s win came courtesy of a retirement by his opponent, while Estruga pulled out a tough three set victory winning the second and third sets by scores of 6-4, 6-1.

Guillermo Aylon (Spain) and James Corfield (New Zealand) got the Cobras third win of the day at No. 2 doubles, winning 8-6 over their opponents.

The Cobras next match will be next Saturday at home against Mount Olive College at 1:00 p.m.
