FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Coker men’s tennis team suffered a tough 6-3 loss to Methodist University on Wednesday in men’s collegiate tennis. The Cobras started the match winning two of the three doubles matches, with the one doubles loss coming at No. 1 doubles. Coker lost 9-8 in a tie-breaker.

Then in singles play the matches were forced to be settled by tie-breakers due to lack of daylight. James Corfield (Auckland, New Zealand) picked up the Cobras lone win in singles play with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.

Coker will head back to the courts on Thursday at Newberry College where they will look to great their first win of the season. The men will be joined by the Cobra women for the 2:00 p.m. dual match.
