HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker’s  men’s tennis team lost their final match of the 2010 season on Sunday afternoon, falling to Limestone College 9-0. The loss drops the Cobras to 1-13 on the year and 1-8 in Conference Carolinas play.

The loss leaves the Cobras just one spot short of qualifying for the Conference Carolinas Championship next week in Sumter, S.C.

The Cobras best chance for victory came at No. 2 singles, where Evan Schreiner (Seneca, S.C.) took his match to three sets, after losing the first set 6-1, he bounced back with a 6-3 win in set two, but he lost the third set tiebreaker 10-4.

The Cobras will now prepare for new season and a new coach, as Coach Alvin Cheng leaves Coker to be a tennis club pro in Ohio.
