MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Mount Olive won all the singles matches in straight sets and swept the doubles matches as the Trojans defeated Coker 9-0 in Conference Carolinas men’s tennis Saturday at Walker Tennis Center. Alexandre Queiros won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and combined with Diogo Miranda for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Diogo Sender’s 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles clinched the team victory for the Trojans.

Diogo Miranda posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles, while Luiz Mariano lost only one game at No. 5 singles. Gabriel Santana (No. 2 singles) and Bevan Hewitt (No. 3 singles) also posted wins.
 
The win improves Mount Olive to 2-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Coker is 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
 
Coker will take on Barton College in their next match on Tuesday, when they travel to Wilson, N.C. for a 2:00 p.m. match.
