FLORENCE, SC – The Francis Marion men’s and women’s tennis teams opened their 2010 seasons with home victories over Coker College on Thursday afternoon (Feb. 4).<br /> <br />The fifth-ranked Patriot Women defeated Coker 7-2, while the 14th-ranked FMU Men beat the Cobras 9-0.  All Francis Marion match wins were in straight sets.<br /> <br />Both Patriots teams will travel to Mount Olive College on Sunday for a pair of 1 p.m. matches.<br /> <br />The Coker men will play at North Ggreenville College on Monday at 1 p.m., while the Lady Cobras will play a pair of matches in Conway on Saturday against Coastal Carolina University at noon and North Carolina Central University at 3 p.m.<br /> <br />MEN<br />#14 Francis Marion University 9, Coker College 0<br />Singles competition <br />1. #9 Oshada Wijemanne (FMUM) def.
