Charleston, SC- The Coker Men’s tennis team put up a good fight with Division I opponent Charleston Southern in their first match back after spring break with the score not indicating a 7-0 loss. Playing Division one rules, one team winning two out of three doubles matches picks up one point, therefore only seven total team points are possible. The Cobras dropped all three doubles matches by identical scores of 8-2. In singles, the cobras faired well as Jeremiah Dye (Summerville, SC) had almost a perfect homecoming as he fell in three sets by a score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. Danny Nash (Hilton Head, SC) played well at number two singles falling by score of 6-3, 6-3. The Cobras will look to take some positives from this match and take it with them up the mountain as they travel to take on Lee’s McRae College on Saturday at 11am.
