Wilson, NC- The Cobra Men’s tennis team was unable to put a mark in the win column as they fell to the home standing Bulldogs of Barton College 8-1.  With the loss the Cobras now stand at 0-4 on the young season.

In doubles, the Cobras fell behind early as they lost all three matches by scores of 8-6, 8-4, and 8-5.  All three matches remained close until the latter stages when Barton was able to win the big points and scrap out all three victories.

In singles, Juan Vallejo-Gonzalez (Quito, Ecuador) was the lone winner on the day for the Cobras, as he defeated Edwardo Stefani by a score of 6-4, 6-0.

The Cobras will now have a few days off to get ready for matches on Thursday and Friday against Newberry College and Lander University.
