Wingate, NC- The Coker Cobras beat the Wingate Bulldogs 7-2 on Thursday afternoon.  The Cobras were awarded two matches because of injury in the Bulldogs lineup.  This gave the Cobras a win at No.6 singles and No.3 doubles.  The Cobras picked up wins at the No.1 and No.2 doubles spot with Dustin Yager and Danny Nash winning 8-4 and Tim Morton and Tyson Thomson winning their match 8-4.

 

With a 4-0 lead going into singles, the Cobras were awarded another match as Duncan Grew won by default as he was up 5-3 when his opponent had to quit due to a knee injury.  The Cobras also picked up wins at the No.3 and No.5 spots as Esteban Terran won 6-2, 6-4 over fellow Ecuadorian, Jose Valarezo, and Dustin Yager won 7-5, 6-1 over Felipe Fidalgo.

 

The Cobras are now 2-3 and 1-1 in conference as they travel to play Lander University on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
