Conway, SC- The Coker Cobras fell short today to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.  They fought hard, but still came up short losing 7-0.  The Chanticleers came out strong winning all three of the doubles matches, they then defeated th Cobras in all singles matches. The Cobra men are now 1-1 on the season.

 

The hardest fought matches for the Cobras came from freshman James Schroeder and senior Tim Morton. 

 

Schroeder went up 3-1 in the first set, but his opponent was too strong as Plamen Tzevetkov fought back winning 6-3, 6-3.  Tim Morton was down 5-2, when he fought back to make it 5-4.  However, his efforts were stalled, as his opponent closed out the set 6-4 and won the second set 6-2.  The Coker Cobras will travel tomorrow to Charlotte when they will face-off against Johnson C. Smith.
