Hartsville, SC- Coker College’s Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach, Alvin Cheng, announced the “First Annual Frostbite Fundraiser” on January 14, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Coker Tennis Courts. The Frostbite Fundraiser is a doubles tournament in which doubles teams will be placed in brackets of six and play games in 25 minute increments, the team with the most games won at the end of the day wins.

 

The cost is $50 a person, with the proceeds going to the purchase of uniforms for the Coker College Tennis Teams. As a special incentive for those teams who want some extra chances to win, teams may purchase additional games for $2 a game before the start of tournament.

 

Each participant in the “Frostbite Fundraiser” will receive a Coker Tennis T-shirt and food and beverages will be available between rounds. Winners will receive prizes at the end of the day.

 

If doubles tennis isn’t your thing, but you think you have a lightning fast serve, come out and try the fast serve competition between matches. Cost is a $1 a serve and the winner will receive a prize courtesy of Joe Capobianco.
