MELBOURNE, FL — Coker’s tennis teams began a spring break swing through Florida by splitting against the Florida Institute of Technology.  The men fell 2-7 but the women earned an 8-1 victory.

The men didn’t have enough fire power to knock off FIT, but freshman Tyson Thompson played well with a pair of victories.  In doubles, Tyson and Tim Morton earned an 8-1 win before Tyson pulled out a three-set victory at number six singles.   Matt Byford also went three sets but lost the deciding set 7-6.
