Joel Bristol joined the Coker staff as the assistant men's soccer coach in August of 2015.

Bristol became Coker's assistant men's soccer coach after a four-year playing career with the Cobras. In addition to playing for Coker, Bristol also served as the head boys' soccer coach for the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics. In four years at the helm of the GSSM boy's team he led the Eagles to a pair of SCHSL Class 1A Lower State Championships and a record of 40-23-1.

During the summer Bristol works with ADARE Soccer Inc., a non-profit organization that operates free soccer camps and clinics in St. Vincent, the Grenadines and surrounding islands.

He graduated with a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling; Criminology from Coker in December 2014. He is currently pursuing his masters degree in College Athletic Administration at Coker.
