Heartbreaker Loss for Cobras in First Round of Playoffs

Coker University Men's Soccer fell during their match against Lincoln Memorial in the frist round of SAC tournament play.

The Cobras spent the majority of the game hammering away at the Railsplitter's defense, outshooting them 17-9 but unable to land any in the back of the net. Gustavo Palmieri led the team with four of the seventeen shots, followed by Ché Richards with three of his own. Colin Serredszum and Youri Keijser both had two shots while Felix Stoeffler, Nikola Sotra, Frederic Benedix, Tony Barry, Myles Jackson, and Matty Tricker all registered one. Jasper Rump saved four shots throughout the game.

The Cobras went scoreless through the ninetieth minute and played into an extra twenty minutes of overtime. Although a very hard fought match, the Cobras were not able to gain a lead over Lincoln Memorial and will not be continuing in the SAC tournament. Team stats will be posted to www.cokercobras.com
