Coker Men's Soccer Ranked Fourth in Southeast, Receives National Votes in Latest United Soccer Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo.  The Coker University men's soccer team received votes in the United Soccer Coaches national poll on Tuesday (Oct. 15). In the Southeast regional poll, the Cobras were ranked fourth. 

The Cobras are 7-3 on the season, with a 3-2 record in the South Atlantic Conference. On Saturday (Oct. 12), the Cobras suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 double overtime loss to the Carson-Newman University Eagles. Coach Michael Antoniewicz's team will have two opportunities to bounce back this week, as they will take on the Newberry College Wolves on Wednesday (Oct. 16) at 4:30 p.m., and the Queens University Royals on Saturday (Oct. 19) at 7:30 p.m. 

"To be recognized in both the regional and national poll is very exciting," said Antoniewicz. "These rankings are a great sign of what we've been able to accomplish this season and we are looking forward to our upcoming games this week." 

The Cobras will be back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 16) when they play host to Newberry at 4:30 p.m. on the Coker Athletic Field. Live coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com
