Cobras Drop Midweek SAC Match to Trojans

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Coker College men's soccer team fell to the Anderson University Trojans by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday (Sept. 20) in a South Atlantic Conference road matchup. 

In a defensive battle, the Trojans tallied their first and only goal in the 25th minute of play. The Cobras pushed the offensive tempo down the stretch and managed to fire off seven shots during the second half. 

Aladdin Elfares created most of the offense for the Navy and Gold, recording five shots. In addition, Jacob Simonis made significant contributions tallying four shots. Josue Roldan-Albelo and Albert Schonholfer both notched one shot during the match. 

In goal, Justin Walker collected two saves in the contest. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Sept. 23) when they host Catawba in a conference matchup. Opening kick is set for 7 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field.
