Coker Plays No. 20 Wingate to 0-0 Tie

WINGATE, N.C. – The Coker Cobras played the No. 20 Wingate Bulldogs to a 0-0 tie on Wednesday (Oct. 8) in South Atlantic Conference men's soccer action.

In a highly competitive match, there were a combined 29 shots taken and 47 fouls, but neither team was able to find the back of the net in 110 minutes of play.

Kyndle Cobb made eight saves, earning his second shut out draw in as many matches.

Jordan Snell, Tony Quiroz and Matt Taylor led the offensive attack for the Cobras. Snell fired three shots, while Quiroz and Taylor took two shots each.

The Cobras will be back in action at home on Saturday (Oct. 11) against the Lions of Mars Hill University for Alumni Day. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Coker Soccer Field.
