Coker College’s Recinos Earns All-American Status

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's soccer player Carlos Recinos was named to the 2012 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Men's All-America third team as a midfielder.

Recinos, a senior from Houston, Texas, wrapped up an impressive career at Coker in 2012. He tallied four goals and seven assists on the season. In addition to his All-American status, Recinos is a back-to-back NSCAA All-Southeast Region first-team selection. He made this year's team as a midfielder after being named as a forward in 2011. Recinos was a Conference Carolinas all-conference selection as well, cracking the first team for the second-straight year. He was the conference player of the year in 2011.

Recinos is a physical education and sport studies major with a concentration in sport management at Coker. He is the son of Carlos and Yolanda Recinos.

Recinos is the second player from Coker to be named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-America team. Fernando Bedoya made the third team in 2011.
