Hartsville, SC- Two minutes into the Cobras third straight overtime game, UNC-Pembroke broke Coker’s three game winning streak, as Miguei Ferrer/Miami, FL, snuck through the Cobra defense and tucked a shot into the lower left corner, past keeper Joel Tyson/Columbia, SC, for the 2-1 victory. The loss drops Coker to 3-2 on the season, while UNC-Pembroke picks up their first win of the season and improves to 1-4 overall.

Pembroke got on the board first with an unassisted goal from Andrew Brown/Charlotte, NC, at the 18 minute mark, but Coker tied the game 14 minutes later. Mike Crook/Bradenton, FL, found the back of the net at the 32 minute mark, thanks to some great passes from Matthew Jarrett/Roswell, GA, and Doug McMahen/Winter Springs, FL.

The score remained tied throughout the second half and into extra time, until Ferrer gave the Braves the win.

It was a foul heavy game with Coker committing 13 fouls and Pembroke committing 14 fouls, while Pembroke out-shot the Cobras 13-8.

Coker returns to the field on Saturday, as they travel to Greenwood, SC, to take on the Lander Bearcats at 4:00 p.m.
