Coker Travels to Wingate

Wingate, NC - The Coker University Men's Lacrosse Team dropped their late season match-up to Wingate on Saturday (April 15) by a score of 24-7.

Starting off the scoring, Wingate posted nine goals within the first quarter. Zyaire Marshall was the first to answer back with a goal of his own, an unassisted goal in the first five minutes of the second quarter.  minutes. The Bulldogs finished off the second quarter with an extra five goals to take the score up to 14-1. Despite the daunting lead, Augie Ford took on the challenge and registered his first goal of the game. Much like the first quarter, Wingate put up another four goals to close out the third quarter. Continuing to fight, Augie Ford started off the fourth quarter with another goal. Three more Cobras would go on to score in the fourth quarter but despite the fight put up, Wiingate continued on their scoring rampage with five goals to close the game out at 24-7. 

Ethan Hofert played 45 minutes in the cage while KJ Seymour picked up 15 minutes. Hofert had 11 saves while Seymour had one. 

The Cobras will be returning to the field on Saturday (April 22) against Lenoir Rhyne. The first face off is set for 7:00 PM in Hartsville, SC. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
