Men’s Lacrosse cruises past Chowan

Hartsville, SC- Coker took the early lead on Wednesday afternoon.  At the 10:09 mark in the first quarter, Justin Beighey found the back of the net to give the Cobras the 1-0 lead.  Beighey would finish the day scoring four goals for the Cobras.  Heading into the half Coker held the lead 6-3.  Coker would add three more goals in the third quarter led by Will Habel. The Cobras took a 15-7 lead into the fourth quarter and wrapped up the day with the 18-11 win.  Habel finished the day with six goals for the Cobras.  In the fourth quarter Beighey, Habel and Cal Gibson scored goals for the Cobras.  Will Habel finished the day with six goals on 12 shots. Cal Gibson netted four goals and nine assists. While Elijah Utz chipped in three goals.  

Coker had a total of 35 ground balls with Nathan Allan leading the way for the Cobras with 12. Goalie Ethan Hofert came in clutch for the Cobras with 11 saves on the day.

The Cobras move to 3-1 on the season and will host Barton on Saturday at 5:00 pm.
