WINGATE, N.C. – The Coker College men's lacrosse team dropped a South Atlantic Conference game at No. 18 Wingate Saturday (Mar. 25) afternoon by a 15-4 final. Charles Stafford, Denton Wilks, Austin Holgate, and Vinny Magro all tallied goals for the Navy and Gold.

After being held scoreless through the first quarter and most of the second quarter, Charles Stafford found the back of cage with just 22 seconds remaining in the first half. Vinny Magro was credited with the assist on Coker's first goal of the game. Next, the Cobras would go on and score twice in the third quarter. The first Cobra goal in the quarter came from Denton Wilks at the 1:38 mark. Shortly after, the Navy and Gold wasted little time to notch their third goal of the game when Austin Holgate scored on a man-up opportunity just one minute later.

Coker would find the back of the net one more time in regulation when DeShaun Ormond found Vinny Magro at the 8:50 mark of the fourth quarter. The Cobras will be back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 29) when they travel to Catawba for a South Atlantic Conference matchup. Opening face off is set for 7 p.m.
