HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker men's lacrosse goalkeeper Anthony Malik was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week this week, the league announced today. The league's full release can be found here.

In Coker's only game this week, Malik stonewalled the Brevard offense in a 5-3 Cobras win. The senior made 11 saves in his second win of the year, finishing the day with a 78.6 save percentage.

On the season, Malik's 52 saves marks the sixth-highest total in the SAC.

The Knoxville, Md. native is the son of Carla and Mubashir Malik, and is a physical education major.
